Not every guest is given assistance through this program and room charges for these guests will not be covered through this program. ELA Hotline Extended Weekend & Holiday Hours

The Emergency Lodging Assistance hotline will be open extended hours throughout the holiday weekend. Agents will be able to assist hotels from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m CST on Saturday September 2nd and Sunday September 3rd. On Monday, September 4th the hotline will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST. Hotels can contact agents for assistance by calling 1-866-545-9865.

Due to the activation of DR 4263 the Emergency Lodging Assistance(ELA) call center will be open extended hours to assist any lodging facility with issues or questions they may have. Please ensure a guest is eligible to receive assistance before checking them into your hotel. You can do this online in real time through your ELA account. Please remember to obtain a copy of the signed Terms & Conditions form from the eligible guest prior to checking them into your hotel. This form can be found on the Program Information page. The Emergency Lodging Assistance (ELA) Program has been activated as DR 4145 in response to flooding in Colorado. FEMA applicants may soon seek lodging at ELA partner hotels. <br /><br />• Not every applicant receiving a registration number may be approved by FEMA for the ELA program, so please verify each guest’s eligibility by logging into the online account at ela.corplodging.com BEFORE providing lodging to the guest. FEMA assigns each eligible guest a start date and end date approved for payment.<br /><br />• Collect the required documents which include a completed copy of the Terms and Conditions available on the Program Information Page and a copy of a valid, government-issued Photo Identification from each eligible guest. Please make every effort to ensure confidentiality of FEMA guest information per the Privacy Act of 1974. <br /><br />• The ELA program will pay room-and-tax only charges for approved guest stays. FEMA has extended some guests displaced from DR 4086 New Jersey. Additional information is being sent to your hotel via fax concerning those guests who have not had their eligibility extended. This fax will contain a listing of guests who did not receive an extension, and an Authorization Ending Notice form. Please immediately distribute a copy of this Authorization Ending Notice form to each of those guests. <br /><br />This communication notifies the ineligible DR 4086 New Jersey applicants that FEMA will NOT approve payments for the guest stays past the night of 2/22/13. Any further lodging expenses after this qualification end date will be the responsibility of the guest.<br /><br />Please refer any of these guests to FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 with any questions. The Emergency Lodging Assistance (ELA) program has been activated in for DR 4085 in response to Hurricane Sandy. Eligible participants are being notified and may begin seeking lodging at participating ELA hotels. Please ensure you have checked each guests registration number in the ELA system for their eligibility status, and have collected the required documents from the guest BEFORE checking them into your lodging property. These documents include a signed copy of the Terms and Conditions available on the Program Information Page, and a copy of a government issued Photo identification.
