DR 4828 and DR 4834 - FLORIDA - Geofence Shrinkage
February 27, 2025
The state of Florida has reduced the field of participation for DR 4828 (Florida’s assistance for Hurricane Helene) & DR 4834 (Florida’s assistance for Hurricane Milton). On March 11th, 2025, the lodging provider participation for these two disasters will be restricted to Floridian counties below: Alachua, Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Franklin, Gilchrist, Glades, Gulf, Hamilton, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Leon, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sarasota, Seminole, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor, Union, Volusia and Wakulla. If you are housing survivors outside of Floridian counties mentioned above, please let them know they need to check out and relocate to one of the counties listed above by March 11th, 2025. DR 4856 California Activation

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has activated the following areas for assistance with DR 4856 California: California counties of Los Angeles, Kern, San Bernardino, Orange and Ventura. ELA-verified lodging providers within those areas may accept qualified survivors. For further assistance, please call 1-866-545-9865.
